Season of Nesting

What do you think of when you think of the word nesting? For me, I think about a pregnant women who may be at the end stage of pregnancy seeking to clean and organize to prepare for her baby or babies. Yesterday, as I was in random conversation with a good friend of mine, I was asked, “So, what’s going on with you Ev?” I began to reflect as to what has been going on in my life most recently. I began telling her that my husband and I were preparing his final appointments, including graphing and seeking dental clearance, so when he’s called for a transplant, he’ll be prepared. I also told her, I came into work this week and began filing all old documents into new boxes according to date and programs, cleaning and organizing it all. I, then said, “I guess you could say, I’m in a nesting season!” I laughed. Then I paused. WOW! I’m in a NESTING SEASON!

I began to research what it means to be nesting for a pregnant woman. Although I already knew this information, I was amazed at how my current life lined up spiritually, to what physically takes place during nesting for a pregnant woman. According to Americanpregnancy.org, nesting during pregnancy is an overwhelming desire to get your home ready for your new baby. This nesting instinct becomes strongest in the latter weeks of pregnancy closer to going into labor. It’s an instinct which prepares you for an  upcoming BIRTH! My God! I don’t know about you, but that was the part that had me shouting right there!

See, I have some petitions I have placed before the Lord. I’m believing God for my husband’s healing, as well as some personal petitions with regards to my career and finances. I have had dreams about it, fasted for it, and I am believing God for them! Lately, one of my best friends has been consistently saying, “Ev, you’re about to give birth!” So in short, this moment was no coincidence! This was God’s divine revelation over my mind and heart. In the spiritual, God says, “Ev, you are preparing for your babies to come! It is the latter stage of pregnancy for you! You are preparing to GIVE BIRTH!” Thank YOU Jesus!

How do you know if God is preparing you? Well in Psalm 10:17, the word of God says, Lord, You have heard the desire of the humble; You will prepare their heart; You will cause Your ear to hear…’ So, if you have humbled yourself before GOD, repented, confessed, asked of HIM, HE will in turn prepare, strengthen, and direct you. Sometimes this may be happening without you even realizing it! Thank GOD for revelation!

See, God has some prepared blessings in store for each of us. I believe HE has some blessings on the way for me! He is working behind the scenes, opening doors, closing some, having me getting things in order, and arranging things in my favor even right now! I am in a season of nesting because GOD knows I am about to give birth! He knows HE is about to bless me, but I must complete the work I have right now. He is getting my husband and I ready for healing, but not before making sure the work up prior to the miracle is all set. In the right time, I will go into labor! I will spring forth my blessings, and I will be prepared for them!

I declare Deuteronomy 8:7-10 over my life and yours as you’re reading this,  ‘ For the Lord your God is bringing you into a good land, a land of brooks of water, of fountains and springs, that flow out of valleys and hills;  a land of wheat and barley, of vines and fig trees and pomegranates, a land of olive oil and honey; a land in which you will eat bread without scarcity, in which you will lack nothing; a land whose stones are iron and out of whose hills you can dig copper. When you have eaten and are full, then you shall bless the Lord your God for the good land which He has given you.’

Amen! I pray you were as blessed as I was! #NestingSeason
